ELEGBELEYE TASKS NSC STAFF ON IMPROVE SERVICE DELIVERY

The Director General of National Sports Commission (NSC), Gbenga Elegbeleye has tasked staff of the Commission to improve their service delivery capability in order to drive the transformation agenda of the government.
Elegbeleye gave the charge while declaring open, a one-day sensitization workshop for senior officers of the NSC in Abuja. Read more....

“As senior officers, you have to individually and collectively play your roles since your primary assignment is to contribute to the formulation and implementation of government policies and programmes. Whatever the priority, you are creative energies that drive the economy, so you must perform to achieve results.”
He maintained that the Commission is bent on developing the sports sector to a world class level, where it would provide continuous improvement of quality of life for the entire citizenry, calling on the participants to help achieve the target.
“In order to achieve this national goal, government has emphasized the need for effective and efficient service delivery by public institutions…It is within this context that the National Sports Commission has keyed into the Transformation Agenda bearing in mind the critical role Sports plays in promotion of national unity and integration.”
While noting that the programme was a deliberate attempt to correct the flaws in the country’s drive for development following the absence of long time planning, policy continuity and consistency, the DG explained that the purpose of the workshop “is to equip you with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitude required to fast track the success of government’s transformation agenda.
