I was the MC at one show held at Lekki Beach(Lagos). It was a big show and the then Plantashun Boiz were meant to headline the show. The event was going on so smoothly till the crowd felt that something was missing. They thought that Plantashun Boiz weren’t coming. They didn’t know that the boys were caught in a terrible traffic at the entrance of the beach. I kept telling the crowd that the musicians would soon be on the stage.
But it got to a stage that they couldn’t take it any longer. They threw pure water sachet, ice cream wrappers and everything they could lay their hands on at me. The sad aspect was that the show was live on TV and radio. It was a very embarrassing event that I would never forget.
