Sir Alex Ferguson pleased with Wayne Rooney's return to form

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes striker Wayne Rooney has rediscovered his best form. After the win over Swansea in May - his final home game - Ferguson said United had rejected Rooney's transfer request and Chelsea subsequently had two bids for the forward turned down. But Ferguson, now a United director, is pleased with Rooney's recent displays."Wayne was fantastic [against Bayer Leverkusen]. I'm pleased to see that," he told MUTV."He's got his energy back, the determination, his purpose to attack. As a director, I'm delighted to see him back to what we always remember him."
